Bandwidth
The Sydney datacentre currently supports four 155Mbps lines connected to Telstra, Optus, Uecomm and PowerTel. Each line is connected through a fully redundant $3 million Cisco 12000 Series 2 switch.
Redundancy
The Sydney datacentre has full redundancy in every environmental area, including building smoke, fire and water, power and air conditioning. See the network page for more details.
Physical Security
The Sydney datacentre is a windowless building. Entrances and floor areas are protected by physical and electronic means. Security personnel patrol and screen all visitors. Access to all operational areas is through biometric-controlled security portals.
Monitoring
The Sydney datacentre is monitored from two physical locations via separate dedicated links. One is located within the Internet datacentre and the other is located in the Sydney CBD office. The main network operations centre (NOC) is staffed 24/7.

Network & Intrusion Security
The purpose-built, integrated firewall and virtual private network (VPN) security appliances and systems used at the datacentre have achieved Common Criteria Evaluation Level 4 (EAL4) certification. Common Criteria is an important worldwide evaluation standard for security products, recognised on 16 countries and mandated by many government agencies for their critical systems and network assets. Backup & Fail-Safe Systems
INVIDIA can assist you by designing a backup and fail-safe solution to meet your risk needs. Some of the solutions that we put in place for dedicated hosting customers include; specialist security personnel transporting backup media to offsite vaults; onsite SAN and tap carousels linked by fibre channel adapters to dedicated servers; tape storage devices and NAS devices; compressed and encrypted DVD media, moved offsite weekly; additional hardware storage (supplied with each server - various RAID configurations); and/or daily backup and incremental backup storage.
