The shared hosting Internet datacentre is located in Miami, Florida USA. The facility is one of the largest Tier-1 carrier neutral centres in the US and is located in a purpose built building that is 32 feet above sea level and is Category 5 Hurricane rated.

A Suburb Of Servers
The total shared hosting platform is made up of over 250 servers in a range of RAID redundant cluster configurations. Seven large hosting clusters service the main web site and eCommerce needs of our shared hosting plans. Additional clusters look after all the other services such as email, H-Sphere control panel, FTP servers, database servers, web statistics and network monitoring. Provisioning, billing and CRM services are all located in our Australian facility (see dedicated network in the section to the right for information about our Australian facility).
Interconnects
AT&T, Level 3, MFS, EXTLINK, EPIK, QWEST, MCIWorldcom, Sprint, GTE, BellSouth, Espire, Electric Lightwave, Williams, Worldwide Fiber, FPL FiberNet, Broadwing, Enron, BTI, Frontier, Global Crossing, Cable & Wireless, Intermedia, MFN. The datacentre is directly adjacent to the Florida East Coast Railway with multiple fiber providers terminating their long haul routes in the vicinity and is in line of sight to the BellSouth, AT&T, and Level 3 exchanges. Other non-US carriers connected or peered at the datacentre include Deutsche Telekom, Entel Bolivia/Chile, France Telecom, Swisscom AG, Telecom Italia and Telstra.
Physical Security
Restricted Access Facility with 24/7 guard manned Lobby access consisting of keycard access at main and rear entries; bollards at loading areas; secure loading docks; cameras throughout facility common areas; keycard access for entry into elevators, floors and roof area.
Power
Public Utility Provider is Florida Power & Light Company (FPL). FPL feeders deliver power at 13,200 volts.
There are two (2) FPL vaults (East & West) each with a capacity of supplying 40 MVA, equivalent to 48,000 amperes each at 480-volt 3-phase power. Each vault has power supplied from separate grid systems providing redundancy; further, the vaults are interconnected. Two (2) back-up generator vaults per floor, each of which are sized for three 2 Meg generator sets with 1,300 gallon supplemental belly tanks, including containment and flush stations for each vault.

Local Power To Get The Job Done
The dedicated hosting Internet datacentre is located in North Ryde, Sydney Australia. The facility is one of the most modern datacentres in Australia, built at a cost of $80 million. The current capacity is 1Gbps, but easily scalable as demand requires it.
There are currently four main 155Mbps lines into the facility from Optus, Uecomm, Telstra and PowerTel. Each connection has its own redundant $3 million Cisco 12000 Series 2 switch and is real-world fail-over tested every month. Each redundant switch can transfer the whole datacentre from one network to another in 24 seconds.
Customised connections to other carriers and peers such as PIPE are all available at the centre and can be provisioned to meet your specific hosting needs.
The Facility
The datacentre operates and is manned 24/7. The facility has its own Network Operations Centre (NOC), staffed by trained technicians every hour of every day. The facility is highly secure and will pass the most stringent security audits. It is certified to International Security standard 7799. It also has a full-time security team on duty 24/7. The building comprises of an area of 7,000 square metres, combining a high level of fail-over capability at every possible point of failure. The datacentre is one of a handful in Australia to have true N+1 redundancy throughout.
Redundancy Features
Fully integrated building management systems for smoke, fire and water detection, power and air conditioning; dual power feeds with sub-station on site; separate transformers and mains switch boards; five diesel back-up generators; multiple power management modules; two high capacity diesel fuel tanks; multiple air conditioning units; and redundant Internet connections with automatic fail-over.
Physical Security
The datacentre is a windowless building. Entrances and floor areas are protected by physical and electronic means. Security personnel patrol and screen all visitors. Access is through biometic-controlled security portals and limit access to specific areas of the centre.
Network Security
The purpose-built, integrated firewall and virtual private network (VPN) security appliances and systems used by the datacentre have achieved Common Criteria Evaluation Assurance Level 4 (EAL4) certification. Common Criteria is an important worldwide evaluation standard for security products, recognised in 16 countries and mandated by many government agencies for their critical systems and network assets.
The network security Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDP) system, which is a fundamental part of the datacentre security approach, was developed to accurately detect attacks, stop attack impact and deliver simplified security management. The innovative technology of IDP provides the next layer of security, complementing conventional firewalls and VPNs to protect against attacks in network traffic.
The Multi-Method Detection mechanism integrates Stateful Signature, Protocol Anomaly, Backdoor, Traffic Anomaly, IP Spoofing, Layer 2 and Denial of Service Detection to provide the broadest and most efficient attack detection.
Security Intrusion Support
The datacentre full-time security team is headed by a CISSP security specialist who is available 24/7 to meet any ongoing security threat. CISSP certification is also known as ISO/IEC 17024.
In addition, INVIDIA maintains a relationship with two specialist security consultants who can be called in during or after a planned and methodical intrusion.
